Dinner With Friends

Some days I feel like winter is never going to end! So I guess until it does I'll just have to keep posting winter outfit ideas. Here is one I came up with that I think would be great for a casual dinner out with some girlfriends. I love the fun prints on the shirt and the leggings and the softness of the quilting on the boots.
The bag is a great transition piece that can easily go from work to a fun night out.

Busy Saturday

Sunday Funday Outfit Idea

Christmas Dinner

Christmas is always a time of winter when you get to be fabulous, even if you're overdressed. I attended my family dinner, and tried to keep my outfit comfy and semi dressy. A hi-low sweater and blouse with heel booties were the perfect combination. Here is what I wore:

Festival of Trees

Happenin Hoopla

This past weekend I hat the pleasure of attending a fabulous holiday party for a lady I used to work for. It was a blast! They had a live band, tons of delicious food, and even a mechanical bull! It seemed like the perfect event to bust out my new pleather leggings. Here is what I wore to the Happenin Hoopla:

Family Dinner

For a family dinner, comfort is key. But style always trumps my choices. Here is a perfect blend of both. Stretchy legging like pencil pants, a button up tank, and a sweater provided a very forgiving ensemble, fabulous for when food is involved. 

Gold accessories went perfect with my mustard color pants. (Mustard is not a flattering color next to my face, but I still love it, and am able to wear it on the bottom)

Dinner With The Girls

Had a fun girls night out with some friends last weekend! We headed over to PF Chang's for happy hour then did some quick shopping. Its always fun to catch up with the ladies! Especially if it involves drinks, food and shopping! I love these sweater leggings because the print is so fun and bright. The necklace I made myself for my jewelry brand BeadDifferent. Seattle Aquarium

The weather in Seattle gradually got colder as the week progressed,

and I was so grateful I packed my denim jacket.

Paint it Black -Kaya's 5 Fashion Must Haves for Fall 2013

As you will come to discover, Heidi and I have very different styles.

Yesterday she posted her top 5 for fall.

Here are mine. (Keep in mind, I love color, but all these fabulous pieces are easily interchangeable!) .

Number 1- black leggings. I wear black leggings vastly more than anything else during fall and winter. They go with everything, keep me warm, and help polish off my silhouette.

 Number 2- Cardigan Sweater Easy to layer, warm, and classic. Don't be afraid of buying these in trendy colors or patterns.

Number 3- Black knee high boots. I'm in love with footwear, and this is my go to boot for fall. Again, black goes with everything, the shape is flattering, and they can easily be dressed up or down. Number 4-square scarf. There are so many ways to tie a scarf, have fun with it! Square is my favorite shape because it has so many possibilities. Have fun with the color, use that as your bold accessory if you don't wear a lot of jewelry.

 Number 5- black peacoat. This is the finishing touch when pulling your pieces together. It adds a touch of simple sophistication, and can be worn with just about everything in your closet. Use a fun broach on your coat, or colorful scarf to add some interest.
