Lobsters Are Perfect For Spring

I am absolutely in love with this lobster sweater I picked up last week at the J.Crew Factory Store.

It's incredibly soft and has a great fit. Plus it's so fun! The jeans are Rock and Republic. I bought them years ago at Nordstrom Rack. I have yet to find another pair of distressed jeans that I like as much as this pair. I like that the distressing is subtle and the color is great. I picked up the yellow statement necklace along with the sweater at the J.Crew Factory Store. I always like the color yellow but I have a hard time wearing it because I am so pale, but the color is so great and so spring! It makes me think of sunshine.

Lunch Date With My Mom.

Last Sunday I hade a lunch date with my mom, then after we headed over to support my favorite soccer team RSL on their quest to advance in the playoffs. We had lunch at one of my favorite locally owned places, Ret Butte Café. It was a beautiful warm sunny day, but I knew it would get chilly at the game so I choose to wear a pair of my favorite AG skinny jeans with a new oversized striped sweater I picked up when I visited LA a few weeks ago. The booties or shorty boots as I like toc all them I also picked up in California. I loved their rugged look and zipper detail. I knew my mom would hate that the zipper doesn't actually zip. She does. Lastly, as I often seem to do, I then threw on my favorite locket to help dress up my look a bit. Lunch was delicious and RSL won, so I'd say it was a pretty good day!

Take Me To The Beach!

It seems as the weather gets colder

I find myself missing the beach more and more!

Sadly, living in landlocked Utah I don't get to spend much time at the beach.

But that doesn't mean I can't be inspired by it.

Whidbey Island

I spent my Saturday before Labor Day at Whidbey Island, in Washington.

It was a beautiful fall day to spend near the water!

Since I was near the water, of course I had to wear

at least a bit of a nautical look.

We went rafting, had a pizza at a charming little locally owned  pizzeria.

What a fun day!

Outdoor Event

Last night I attended an outdoor event with my mom

The temperature had dropped a lot

from the day before so,

I decided to wear one of my sweaters

that was a bit lighter in weight.

While I had a lot of fun, I was freezing!

Seattle Streets

On my recent trip to Seattle last week 

I wanted to wear something comfortable and casual

for a long day out sightseeing!

I always love the classic look of stripes,

Avenues Bistro, Al Fresco

Today I got to go to lunch with one of

my best girlfriends at an

adorable little spot called Avenues Bistro.

It had the most charming outdoor patio and the

food was delicious!

I've had the dress I wore hanging

in my closet with the tags on it since June!

I thought I better wear it ASAP

before it gets to cold.

Fun fact about this dress,

Its original price was $130

When I stumbled upon the dress, it had

been marked down to $90.
